PHSKC Centering Diverse Healers in Youth Well-Being and Mental Health Grant Program

The PHSKC Centering Diverse Healers in Youth Well-Being and Mental Health Grant Program aims to enhance youth mental health support by prioritizing BIPOC and LGBTQI+ organizations. This initiative seeks to increase access to resources, improve retention in youth-serving organizations, and support diverse mental health providers. Eligible applicants include nonprofits and community organizations focused on mental health and wellness in King County. The program encourages innovative proposals that address youth mental health needs and promote healing in the community.

PHSKC Centering Diverse Healers in Youth Well-Being and Mental Health
We are excited to announce the Centering Diverse Healers in Youth Well-Being and Mental Health Request for Proposal (RFP). Our goal is to center organizations, groups, and entities with close ties to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, and Intersex (LGBTQI+) communities in entering, accessing support and resources, and increasing representation within the broader youth mental health and healing fields.
This project will include outcomes such as:

• Increasing access to mental health resources and training.
• Improving retention for youth-serving organizations that support youth mental health.
• Increasing support for diverse providers who provide youth mental health and well-being services and support.

Eligibility

This request is open to nonprofit organizations, community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations, for-profit entities, and public or governmental agencies. Eligible applicants must be providing services related to mental health, healing, or wellness, with a focus on serving communities within King County.We acknowledge that youth, with mental health needs may also have co-occurring substance use disorder (SUD) needs. Therefore, proposals may include SUD support as well.
We anticipate funding up to 5 organizations for the 3-year award period.

Ineligibility

All applications must focus on youth mental health and/or, healing, wellness workforce retention in some capacity.
Applications that are missing the required documents, are submitted late, or exceed the $300,000 budget amount for the 3-year award period will not be considered.
