• Recent appropriations (since 2023) include over $100,000 in Youth Programming Grants and equipment funding for K-9 programs and Air Support Unit

• Requests must originate from City of Phoenix Police Department units/bureaus/precincts
• Applications must be signed by a Lieutenant or higher
• Accompanied by a memo from the Bureau/Precinct Commander

How to Apply for a Grant

Application Process:

1. Prior to submitting an application to PPF, grant requests must first be reviewed by COPPD command staff to ensure the need is a Department priority
2. Complete all areas of the official grant application form
3. Grant proposal must be signed by a Lieutenant or higher
4. Submit accompanied with a memo from the Bureau/Precinct Commander
5. Provide supporting documentation such as written estimates or proposals that indicate exactly what the PPF is paying for should the grant be approved
6. Retain a copy of the application for your records
7. Grant applications should be sent via a Commander to their Assistant Chief
8. The Foundation Board of Directors will review requests once approved by the Executive Assistant Chief

Required Materials:

• Completed grant application form
• Signature from Lieutenant or higher ranking officer
• Memo from Bureau/Precinct Commander
• Supporting documentation (written estimates, proposals, specifications)
• Clear description of what PPF funds will be used for
