PF Fund for the Baldwin Area Grant

The PF Fund for the Baldwin Area, managed by the Maine Community Foundation, aims to enhance the quality of life in Baldwin, Maine. This grant supports nonprofit organizations and initiatives that foster self-reliance, education, and sustainable resource management. Priority is given to projects that can leverage additional funding or address gaps in support. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, municipalities, and public agencies, ensuring diverse community engagement in local development.

The Maine Community Foundation works with donors and other partners to improve the quality of life for all Maine people. The community foundation is committed to serve all of Maine; demonstrate respect for people and places; achieve quality and integrity in everything we do; and remain nonpartisan.
MaineCF is a statewide nonprofit that helps people invest charitable resources in the future of Maine. Their giving does good within their communities and often throughout the state.
Purpose
The PF Fund for the Baldwin Area supports nonprofit organizations and projects that benefit the people and area of Baldwin, Maine.
Priorities
This grant program will give additional priority to organizations or projects that promote:

• Greater self-reliance and self-sufficiency among Baldwin residentsPublic awareness of the importance of forestry and the natural resource economy
• Education
• Sustainable management of Baldwin’s natural resource-based economy.
• Proposals will be given additional priority if:

The organization uses the grant to raise additional financial resources or to promote social capitalThe organization is not likely to receive funding from other sources.

• Project support for new, expanding, and ongoing programs.

Eligibility

Who is eligible to apply:Nonprofit, charitable organizations tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and also classified as an organization described in sections 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2)MunicipalitiesPublic schoolsPublic agencies working for the State of MaineIndian tribal governments (or political subdivisions) recognized by the Department of the InteriorGroups without any tax status may apply with a fiscal sponsor that is an eligible organization as described above.
