Downeast Feline Fund Grant

The Downeast Feline Fund, established in 1995 by the Maine Community Foundation, supports Maine high school graduates pursuing veterinary medicine. With no separate application process, eligible students are considered through the Maine Veterinary Medical Association scholarships. Preference is given to those in their third or fourth year of study. This fund highlights the foundation's commitment to education and community support, contributing to the development of future veterinary professionals in Maine.

Maine Community Foundation
The Maine Community Foundation established its first scholarship fund in 1984. Now, through the generosity of individuals, community organizations, and businesses that believe in the importance of education, the community foundation awards more than $3 million each year from nearly 700 scholarship funds.
MaineCF scholarships provide financial assistance for Maine residents attending accredited colleges, universities, technical and career schools. The funds also support students attending private high schools, camps, and experiential learning programs.
This scholarship was established in 1995 to support graduates of Maine high schools who are attending a veterinary school of medicine. Awards will be made from the applicant pool of the Maine Veterinary Medical Association scholarships. There is no separate application process.
