Petco Love Stories Grant Campaign

The Petco Love Stories Grant Campaign celebrates the profound impact of pet adoption. Each year, Petco Love and BOBS® from Skechers® award grants to animal welfare organizations that facilitate these life-changing adoptions. Since 2013, over $8 million has been distributed to support these organizations. Pet parents are encouraged to share their unique love stories about their adopted pets, showcasing how their lives have been enriched. Compelling narratives and quality visuals will help submissions stand out.

Every year, Petco Love, in partnership with BOBS® from Skechers®, celebrates the life changing impact of pet adoption and empowers animal welfare organizations to continue saving more pet lives by acknowledging their hard work with a lifesaving grant award.
Since 2013, more than 25,000 adopters, like you, have shared their Love Story, and we’ve awarded $8 million in lifesaving grants to the animal welfare organizations that make these adoptions possible.
Tips for telling your Love Story
Focus on what’s unique about your adopted pet’s love and how that love has changed your life. Share what only your adopted pet does that makes you feel special. Show the love in high quality photos and videos of you and your pet.
What topic should the story be about?
Your submitted Love Story should share how your adopted pet’s unique love changes your life for the better. Stories can range from the simple yet unique ways your pet shows you love and how that unique love brings joy to your everyday life — to the larger-than-life ways your pet’s unique love has changed your life.
Big or small, short-haired, long-haired or no-hair, celebrate how your life has changed for the better given the love that only your adopted pet can provide.
Compelling storytelling, photos and videos will help make your submission stand out from the rest.

Eligibility

Pet parents who are legal U.S. residents with a valid email address over the age of 18 (or under the age of 18 with parental/guardian consent) who adopted their pet from an animal welfare organization can submit their story.The story must feature an adopted pet from a U.S. based organization and the pet must be currently living.Only one entry per person.Organizations include municipal or government animal shelters and nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations such as humane societies, SPCAs and foster-based rescues.To be eligible to receive a Love Stories grant award, nominated organizations must complete their 2023 Annual Data Report in the Petco Love Partner Portal, and if applicable, be enrolled as at Petco Love Lost partner.At Petco Love, we deeply understand how a pet who is no longer with us may still have a lifechanging impact on adopter lives. However, for the Love Stories campaign, all story submissions must be written about a pet currently living.Stories about the same pet are not eligible to win; however, we encourage prior winners to share stories about other pets that were not featured in the original winning story with their animal welfare organization
