Overview: An initiative launched at the 2011 Conclave by RLC Task Force Member Chris Dillion, Illinois '03, to provide funding and mentorship to chapters striving to become Residential Learning Communities (RLCs).

Geographic Scope: All SigEp chapters

Focus Areas:

  • Support for chapters establishing or developing Residential Learning Communities (RLCs)

  • Innovative programming for undergraduate brothers

  • RLC initiatives and living-learning objectives
  • Award Details:

  • Montana State RLC received $4,300 in the award year mentioned

  • Stevens Tech and Maine also received support towards their innovative living-learning objectives
  • Eligibility:

  • Chapters showing promise in establishing a Residential Learning Community

  • Chapters delivering highly innovative programming for undergraduate brothers
  • Presentation: Award is presented annually at each Grand Chapter Conclave during the Balanced Man Celebration

    Background: Named after the concept of "paying forward" the help and support that Illinois Alpha has received from others over two decades of accomplishments.
