Paul and Elizabeth Younts Trust About the Foundation The Paul and Elizabeth Younts Trust was established under the Last Will and Testament of Paul R. Younts. A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Paul R. Younts (1899-1971) served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was the longest serving commander of the Army Air Force’s Overseas Replacement Depot (ORD) located in Greensboro, NC during World War II. In addition, he served as North Carolina state highway commissioner in the early 1960s. After his death, a section of the expressway that runs through Charlotte, NC was named in his honor. Mission To provide grants to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations that offer health services.
