Patriot Fund - Emergency Financial Assistance

Overview: The CF Foundation Patriot Fund provides emergency financial assistance to students when unexpected financial emergencies occur. The assistance is designed to help students stay in college, meet their educational goals, and successfully complete their education.

Geographic Scope: College of Central Florida students

Processing: Applications are only processed when college is in session

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA

  • Be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours in the current semester

  • Have completed at least one semester at CF
  • Eligible Expenses:

  • Utilities

  • Housing/Rent

  • Medical/Dental Expenses*

  • Personal Automobile Expenses*

  • Child Care

  • Other Expenses (as approved by the college)
  • *Note: The fund cannot pay for expenses already incurred

    Ineligible Expenses:

  • Tuition

  • Fees

  • Books

  • Legal Fees

  • Tobacco

  • Alcohol

  • Entertainment Expenses

  • Car Payments

  • Car Insurance

  • Health Insurance

  • Fines

  • Driver's License
  • Payment Information:

  • In most cases, payments are made to a third party

  • Payment type determined by the college on a case-by-case basis

  • Award payments typically available within 48 hours

  • Assistance payments may reduce federal or state aid awards and could require repayment of funds already disbursed

    How to Apply

    Application Process

    1. Access Portal: Log into your MyCF student portal
    2. Navigate to Form: Click the Finances tab
    3. Select Patriot Fund: Select Patriot Fund from the left-hand menu
    4. Complete Application: Answer all questions completely
    5. Submit Documentation: Provide documentation of need, including copies of bills or estimates
    6. Submit: Submit completed application
