Congressman C.W. Bill Young Veteran Tuition Waiver Program
Overview: This state-mandated program requires Florida College System institutions to waive out-of-state fees for eligible veterans and active duty military members.
Geographic Scope: Florida College System institutions; veterans must physically reside in Florida
Eligible Groups:
- Honorably discharged veterans of the United States Armed Forces and Reserve Forces (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy)
- Honorably discharged members of the National Guard (Army and Air)
- Any student entitled to and using educational assistance from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs
- Must physically reside in Florida while enrolled as degree or certificate-seeking student
- Tuition and fees cannot exceed resident student rates for same program
Group A: Honorably Discharged Veterans
- Active duty members of the Armed Forces of the United States
- Must be residing or stationed outside Florida
- Must be enrolled as degree or certificate-seeking student
- Tuition and fees cannot exceed resident student rates for same program
Group B: Active Duty Military
Eligibility Requirements:
To receive the out-of-state fee waiver, veterans must provide:
1. Proof of Florida Residency: Florida driver license or Florida identification card (physical residency verified each term)
2. Proof of Honorable Discharge: DD214, discharge certificate, or other documentation deemed appropriate by the institution

How to Apply
Application Process
1. Enroll at CF: Apply and be admitted to College of Central Florida
2. Provide Documentation: Submit required documentation to CF admissions/registrar
3. Verification: Eligibility verified by institution each term
4. Re-verification Required: Must reverify residency and military status each semester
