Overview

Passport to Israel Program

Overview: A partnership between families, the Jewish Federation of Omaha, and area synagogues to provide resources enabling students to participate in Israel peer experiences as part of their Jewish education.

Geographic Scope: Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan area

Eligibility:

  • Students must be in kindergarten through 8th grade

  • Families must be in good standing with one of the area synagogues

  • Families in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan area
  • Program Structure:

  • Families make annual contributions to a dedicated account

  • Jewish Federation of Omaha and affiliated synagogue provide matching funds according to specific guidelines

  • Families may withdraw their own contributions at any time

  • Withdrawals other than for approved Israel programs make those funds ineligible for matching contributions

  • Program has specific guidelines for approval of Israel programs

    Application Process

    1. Complete two forms (download before completing):
    - Program Participation Agreement
    - Bank Account Application

    2. Prepare a check between $150-$250 as described in the program description document

    3. Mail the following items to:
