Pass Through Grant Opportunities

Funder: Noble Public Schools Foundation for Academic Excellence

Geographic Scope: Noble Public Schools, Oklahoma and beyond

Purpose: To provide NPS faculty access to major grant opportunities from other organizations that require application by a 501(c)3 organization. The NPS Foundation serves as the sponsoring/pass-through organization.

How It Works:

NPS faculty identify grant opportunities from external organizations

Faculty fill out and complete applications for these external grants

NPS Foundation acts as the "pass through" or sponsoring 501(c)3 organization

Foundation Board of Directors evaluates and votes on sponsorship requests

Eligibility:

Noble Public Schools faculty members

Application Process:

Faculty submit online form indicating interest in using Foundation as sponsor

Faculty responsible for finding grants and completing applications

Foundation provides needed documents and authorization upon approval

Decision notification provided as soon as possible after board review

Important Notes:

Foundation does not guarantee sponsorship

Faculty do the research and leg work to find eligible grants

Will partner with faculty for major third-party grants that need Foundation sponsorship

How to Apply

Application Process

1. Research: Faculty identify grant opportunities from external organizations/funders that require 501(c)3 sponsorship

2. Submission: Complete and submit online form to request NPS Foundation sponsorship

3. Foundation Review: NPS Foundation Board of Directors evaluates the sponsorship request

4. Board Vote: Board votes on whether to sponsor the proposal

5. Notification: Upon approval, Foundation notifies applicant and provides:
- Required documents
- Authorization letter

6. Faculty Responsibility: Faculty complete the full application for the external grant

Important: Foundation does not guarantee sponsorship of all proposals. Barring extreme circumstances, Foundation will attempt to partner with faculty for major third-party grants.
