Other Community Needs' Grant

The Other Community Needs' Grant, offered by the Health Foundation of South Florida, aims to reduce health disparities and promote health equity by supporting projects that address social and economic factors affecting health. Eligible organizations include tax-exempt nonprofits and government agencies serving Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties. Preference is given to projects benefiting low-income communities and those demonstrating clear needs and measurable outcomes. Proposals are accepted year-round and reviewed on a rolling basis.

Through this funding opportunity, we call upon our partners to share ideas and interests that reduce health disparities and create health equity.
Funding decisions will be guided by our mission, our guiding principles, an assessment of proposal elements (need, target population, project implementation, measurable outcomes, etc.) and funding availability.
Funding Guidelines
The project must align with our mission and guiding principles.Unsolicited proposals are accepted year-round and are reviewed in the order they are received.
The project duration can be 1 to 2 years.
Funding requests may vary and are dependent on project size and scope.
Short-term projects may be fast-tracked for a funding decision. All other proposals may require a more detailed proposal application process before going to our Board of Directors for a final funding decision.

Eligibility

The organization must be a tax-exempt nonprofit under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or a local or state governmental agency.
The project must exclusively serve residents of Broward, Miami-Dade and/or Monroe Counties.
