OTA International Research Grant

The OTA International Research Grant supports innovative research in orthopaedic trauma care, offering two awards of up to $20,000 each. These awards are available for international members conducting research outside of North America, with specific allocations for low-income and high-income countries. The grant aims to enhance the quality of care for injured patients through scientific exploration and education, fostering diversity and inclusion within the orthopaedic community.

The OTA promotes and values diversity and inclusion at all levels with the goal of creating an environment where every member has the opportunity to excel in leadership, education, and culturally-competent orthopaedic trauma care.
OTA will offer two awards for International Grants up to $20,000 each ($10,000 over two years) based on the international member residency according to the World Bank grouping. One award up to $20,000 for lower-middle and low income countries and the second award up to $20,000 to high and upper-middle income countries.

Eligibility

The principal investigator must be a member of the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (in good standing) outside of North America and the research must be conducted outside of North America.

Ineligibility

Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) funds may not be used for remodeling or building construction costs.
