Funder: Nebraska Civic Engagement Table

Overview: A program through which the Nebraska Table hires, trains, and places community organizers with member organizations. The program has been revamped for 2024 to make organizing training accessible to all employees and volunteers working with Members in the network.

  • Since launch, has hired, trained, and placed 13 community organizers with Nebraska Table Member organizations across the state

    The updated version is a full day of training and collaboration focusing on organizing tactics and strategies:

  • Voter Outreach
  • Volunteer Recruitment and Management
  • Field Planning and Field Math
  • Safety and Security

    Program Goals

  • Help nonprofits realize the benefit of having a full-time organizer on staff
  • Gain measurable data to support programs
  • Build capacity and secure future funding
  • Create a pipeline of nonprofit leadership for talented and engaged advocates
  • Build long-term civic engagement and organizing capacity across the state

  • Employees and volunteers working with Nebraska Table Members
  • Both new and seasoned organizers
