Geographic Scope: San Miguel Watershed (Telluride, Norwood, Redvale, Nucla, Naturita, Paradox and all points in between), Colorado

Focus Areas: Organizations serving groups of children through enrichment and empowerment programs

Eligibility

• Public, private, and nonprofit organizations
• Must be serving groups of children in the San Miguel Watershed

Award Details

• Maximum Award: $5,000 per organization per year
• Applications accepted annually each fall

JFK Priorities & Criteria for Funding

• Projects that provide high quality experiences for children
• Projects offering innovative solutions to existing challenges serving regional youth
• Projects with outcomes that can be measured to determine effectiveness
• Demonstration of effective collaborations
• Previous JFK recipients must have successfully used prior grants
• Complete, on-time applications that comply with all requirements
• Efficient, well-run organizations

Application Process

• All applicants required to attend 10-15 minute interview with JFK Board of Directors
• Representative will contact applicant to schedule interview upon receipt of application
• JFK will not award grants to projects or expenses that occurred prior to application deadline
