Opening Gates for Prospective Teachers Grant The purpose of this grant is to honor the memory of Dr. James Gates, past executive director of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, by providing electronic student memberships for prospective teachers of mathematics at all levels, Prek-12. Dr. Gates served the council as Executive Director for 31 years and was most concerned with membership and member services in his tenure. To honor that service, this award funds NCTM electronic student memberships.

You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. The applicant must be a current (on or before the application deadline) student member of NCTM

Ineligibility

No indirect costs of any kind. No institution is eligible to submit more than one Opening Gates for Prospective Teachers award in one application period.
