Ohio Green Beret Support Group Scholarship The Ohio Green Beret Support Group Scholarship supports Green Berets based in or serving Ohio and their families, including spouses, children, and other legal dependents. As a 501(c)(3) subsidiary of the Ohio Chapter of the Special Forces Association, the organization assists elite soldiers and families facing hardship, particularly given the high casualty rates and frequent combat deployments experienced by Green Berets. Scholarship funds may be used to support a wide range of postsecondary education and training pathways, including associate’s and bachelor’s degrees, Ph.D. programs, and trade certification training. Through this program, the Ohio Green Beret Support Group honors service and sacrifice by expanding educational opportunities and providing meaningful, long-term support to some of Ohio’s most highly trained and decorated military heroes and their families.Eligibility

Candidates must be members in good standing of the Special Forces Association, Chapter 45 (Buckeye Chapter), or their spouses; children (including adopted children, stepchildren, and grandchildren); and other dependents are also eligible. Other dependents include nieces, nephews, or others for whom the member is acting in the role of parent or guardian. Candidates must be graduating high school seniors or high school graduates with a minimum 2.5 grade point average.Candidates must attend a two- or four-year college or university; a career or technical program; post-secondary trade certification program; or a Master’s or Doctorate degree at an accredited institution in the U.S. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member.Focus Areas & Funding Uses
