Ohio Children’s Foundation Grant

The Ohio Children’s Foundation Grant aims to enhance the lives of at-risk children and families through funding for early childhood education programs. With nearly $1 million awarded in grants over three years, the Foundation supports initiatives that promote school readiness, advocate for public policies, and provide resources for parents. Prioritizing children aged 0-5, the Foundation seeks innovative programs that address early brain development and minimize toxic stress, ensuring a brighter future for vulnerable families.

The mission of the Ohio Children’s Foundation is to enhance the lives of children by providing grants to support services for at-risk children and families, by helping prepare children for kindergarten, and by advocating for public policy that will positively affect children's lives.
Programs and Grants
Over the past three years, the Ohio Children’s Foundation has awarded nearly $1 million in grants.
These grants supported organizations primarily focused on quality early childhood education. Grants during these three years ranged from $600 to $20,000.
The Foundation leverages its resources by supporting organizations which are working to create a public policy environment conducive to the long-term interests of children. In addition to grant support, we also provide technical assistance to advocacy organizations and have served on local, state, and national governing and advisory boards.
Grant Requests
The Foundation’s primary interest is in early childhood development and learning, targeting children ages 0-5.
The Foundation looks for initiatives that:
Understand the importance of early brain and language development.Enable children to develop the physical and social skills, and confidence that will assure a better start in life.Provide parents with tools to talk and read with their children from the day they are born.Minimize the toxic stress that impairs a young child’s potential to thrive.Advocate for public policies that expand the provision of high quality early childhood education in neighborhoods and communities.

Eligibility

Our grants support innovative pilot programs, as well as successful long standing initiatives.

Ineligibility

The Foundation does not fund Facilities and Administrative costs of universities.
