Office of Legal Immigration Grant Program (ND) Background The Office of Legal Immigration Grant is newly developed in response to Senate Bill 2142 enacted by the Sixty-eighth Legislative Assembly to create the Office and develop a pilot program to support businesses pursuing or employing legal immigrants and to support communities to develop immigrant integration plans and activities. Improving employer awareness of and access to international recruitment pathways, preparedness to employ foreign-born individuals, and support economic inclusion in the workforce will improve recruitment and retention of foreign-born workers and those that are internationally educated and credentialed. Investing in community integration activities and increasing awareness of community-based resources and programs will improve the lived experiences and long-term retention of New Americans and immigrants living in North Dakota. Purpose The Office of Legal Immigration grant is designed to support eligible employers and community-based organizations in their efforts to recruit, retain, and integrate New Americans in North Dakota. Tracks Track A - Employer Strategies designed to support foreign-born workersTrack B - North Dakota Community-Based Strategies for organizations that serve New Americans and Immigrants living and working in North Dakota to improve accessibility and awareness of the programs and servicesTrack C - Community-based organizations listed in Section C, Activity 2, 3, and 4 strategies to establish and facilitate community engagement opportunities.Track D - North Dakota community and municipal organizations developing integration plans Funding Track A - Projects in Track A may be eligible for up to $125,000. A 1:1 match is required.Track B - Activity 2 Projects may be eligible for up to $80,000. A 4:1 match is required.Track C - Projects in Activity 3 may be eligible for up to $20,000.
