ODEQ Diesel Emissions Mitigation Grants Program

Program Status: Open for its last funding round

Overview: The ODEQ Diesel Emissions Mitigation Grants Program provides funding for diesel vehicle and equipment retrofits or replacements. Funds help fleets comply with upcoming HB2007 diesel truck engine restrictions coming to Portland counties (Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington).

Geographic Scope

Oregon, particularly Portland counties (Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington)

Eligible Vehicles and Equipment

On-Road Vehicles:

  • Eligible 1992-2009 diesel trucks being replaced with:

  • - New diesel truck (25% reimbursement)
    - Alternative fueled truck: LPG, CNG (25% reimbursement)
    - Electric truck and charger unit (75% reimbursement)

    Off-Road Equipment:

  • Any vintage of off-road diesel equipment (eligible at different reimbursement rates)
  • Focus Areas

    • Diesel vehicle and equipment retrofits
    • Diesel vehicle and equipment replacements
    • HB2007 diesel truck engine restrictions compliance
    • Alternative fuel vehicle adoption (LPG, CNG, electric)

    Application Process

    2. Submit application through Oregon DEQ
    3. Provide documentation of eligible 1992-2009 diesel vehicle/equipment being replaced
    4. Include quotes or documentation of new vehicle/equipment cost
    5. Demonstrate compliance need related to HB2007 restrictions

    Reimbursement Structure

    • 25% reimbursement for new diesel or alternative fueled trucks (LPG, CNG) replacing eligible 1992-2009 diesel trucks
    • 75% reimbursement for new electric trucks and charger units replacing eligible 1992-2009 diesel trucks
    • Variable rates for off-road diesel equipment
