Organization: DOGANA (Dow Graduates Association of North America), a 501(c)(3) non-profit alumni organization of Dow University of Health Sciences graduates

Geographic Scope: United States

Focus Areas: Clinical experience and exposure to US healthcare system for recent Dow graduates (particularly from Dow International Medical College - DIMC)

Purpose

DOGANA established this initiative to address challenges faced by young Dow graduates applying for residency in the US, including the need for US healthcare experience, research background, and published work. The program provides opportunities for:

• Externship placements
• Internship positions
• Clinical shadowing experiences

Target Participants

• Dow Medical College (DMC) graduates
• Dow International Medical College (DIMC) graduates, especially first graduating batches
• Young physicians seeking clinical exposure in the US healthcare system
• Those preparing for residency applications, clinical assessment exams, or immigration-related visits

Program Structure

DOGANA works to match candidates with opportunities based on:

• Geographic location preferences
• Medical field of interest
• Type of experience desired (externship, internship, shadowing)

DOGANA's Role

• Establish systematic matching between young Dowites and DOGANA members
• Liaison Office in Karachi for candidate inquiries
• Young Physician Task Force coordination
