OAPSE Higher Education Program (HEP)

Award: Two years of college credit absolutely free through Eastern Gateway Community College (EGCC)

Program Overview:
The OAPSE Higher Education Program (HEP) is a members-only benefit allowing OAPSE members and eligible family members to earn two years of college credit absolutely free. All credits transfer to Ohio colleges. Many courses are offered online, allowing students to work at their own pace.

    Eligible Participants

  • OAPSE Members: Active members and active retirees of OAPSE/AFSCME
  • Family Members: Spouse, child, step-child, grandchild, step-grandchild, parent, and any person for whom the member is a legal guardian
