OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship
Award Amount: $2,500 per scholarship
Geographic Scope: Ohio (all 10 OAPSE Districts)
Program Overview:
The OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to eligible children of OAPSE members pursuing higher education. At least one scholarship of $2,500 is awarded to a scholarship applicant in each of the ten (10) OAPSE/AFSCME Districts in the state.
- Applicant: Must be a graduating high school senior
- Parent/Guardian: Parent or legal guardian must be a member in good standing of the Ohio Association of Public School Employees (OAPSE/AFSCME Local 4/AFL-CIO) for one year (or signed up at first opportunity after hire)
- Enrollment: Must intend to enroll in a full-time degree program
- School Type: Any two (2) or four (4) year accredited university, college, business or technical school
- Field of Study: Scholarships may be used for any field of study

The OAPSE/AFSCME Memorial Scholarship Foundation, Inc. administers the awards. Donations to this fund are tax-deductible on individual annual income tax filings. Donations are encouraged from union Locals, Districts, businesses and corporate sponsors.How to Apply
