Our Mission The O’Brate Foundation will strive to improve the opportunities for disadvantaged youth in Kansas by assisting with emergency needs, providing educational scholarships to deserving youth, and addressing specific stumbling blocks lying in their path on the road to success. Our Vision The O’Brate Foundation recognizes that the future is in the hands of today’s youth. To make the future brighter for all, disadvantaged youth must be given opportunities for success. The Foundation will strive to improve the chance for success of these Kansas youth. Who We Serve Kansas Youth ages 17 - 25:Who have been in foster care and are transitioning independent living.Who have limited resources and/or an immediate need which has created an unstable or unsafe living condition. O'Brate Traditional College Scholarship The O’Brate Foundation is committed to helping youth with limited resources succeed in reaching their educational goals and becoming positive contributors to society. We invest more than just money in our scholars by providing each of them a staff mentor to help work through the challenges of adjusting to college. In addition, we also provide our scholars with Financial Literacy programming and Personal &Professional Development opportunities and workshops. Our Traditional College Scholarships are based on financial need, renewable and range in size from $500 to $5,000 annually.Eligibility
