Focuses on community strengths and cultural assets while expanding opportunities for nature engagement.

  • Fostering curiosity, creativity, and cultural belonging through indoor and outdoor exploration

  • Honoring unique strengths and lived experiences of children and families

  • Building on knowledge, resilience, and cultural assets already present

  • Deepening social-emotional growth, community connections, and school readiness skills

  • Incorporating math, science, and literacy through nature exploration in culturally responsive ways
  • Program Components:

      Training Educators

    • Interactive, culturally responsive learning on the role of nature in early childhood
    • Focus on how nature exploration deepens social-emotional growth, community connections, and school readiness
    • Culturally affirming approaches that reflect children's backgrounds

      Coaching

    • Participating preschool classroom teachers receive up to 36 hours of personalized coaching
    • Coaching helps educators effectively incorporate nature-based activities into daily routines
