Purpose: Award a scholarship to an individual attending Nova Southeastern University pursuing an advanced degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
Background: Gina Rose Montalto was a victim of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14, 2018. This scholarship was established to help prevent mass shooting by supporting more mental health professionals who can identify and support those in need. More mental health professionals are needed in the country.
