Northwest North Dakota Community Foundation General Grants

Purpose: Support worthwhile organizations seeking to improve the quality of life in the region through a competitive grant application process.

Geographic Scope: Williams, Divide, and McKenzie counties, North Dakota

    Focus Areas

    The foundation supports a variety of projects creating lasting change in communities, including but not limited to:
  • Nonprofit outreach programs
  • Community development and heritage preservation

    Recent Grant Awards (2016)

    In the inaugural 2016 grant round, six grants totaling $15,000 were awarded:
  • Bakken Oil Rush Ministry: $2,300 (outreach program support)
  • McKenzie County Heritage Association: $3,000 (summer farmers market creation)
  • James Memorial Preservation Society: $1,700 (LED light fixtures)
  • Old Armory: $3,000 (roof repair)
