Nordstrom Community Grant

The Nordstrom Community Grant focuses on supporting youth and families by providing over $1 million in grants annually. It aims to assist grassroots organizations that address essential community needs such as food, shelter, and clothing, as well as creating opportunities for economic mobility through mentorship and workforce development. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits located in areas where Nordstrom operates. Applications are encouraged for those meeting these criteria.

Nordstrom is dedicated to supporting causes that support youth and families. We award over $1 million in Community Grants each year across the U.S. as part of this commitment. The Community Grants program is designed to support hyper-local grassroots organizations addressing critical community needs within our focus areas of:
Providing basic needs, food, shelter and clothing to fulfill the essentials necessary for families to thriveCreating opportunities for youth and families to achieve economic mobility, for example through workforce development training, mentorship, scholarships and grants

Eligibility

Nordstrom’s primary charitable efforts focus on uplifting youth and their families by supporting 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that create opportunities and provide basic needs (clothing, shelter, and food) in communities where we have stores.

Ineligibility

Please note that Nordstrom will not fund organizations with a written policy of discrimination against any person or group based on sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other basis.As a company, we do not make any in-kind donations or make donations in the form of gift cards or experiences in which we underwrite expenses, merchandise, supplies, items, discounts or samples. Instead, all our giving is done in the form of unrestricted grants.We do not direct funding to the following:Individuals (crowdfunding, GoFundMe pages, etc.)Political organizationsReligious/religion-affiliated organizationsAthletic teams, events, booster clubs, or sponsorshipsAnimal related programs, including sheltersMerchandise for fundraisers and auctionsSymposiums, conferences, conventions, professional association meetingsIndividual primary and secondary schools, PTO’s and PTA’sDevelopment or production of books, films, videos, television programs, social media or websitesParties, celebrations, parades, festivals, and rafflesAwards, monuments and/or memorials
