Nonexclusionary Discipline (NED) – State Fiscal Year 2026 and 2027 The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) makes this funding available to School Districts, Charter Schools, Tribally Controlled Schools, Intermediate School Districts and Cooperative Units for the purpose of developing and implementing a professional learning plan for school staff to implement nonexclusionary discipline (NED) practices that maintain the respect, trust, and attention of students and help keep students in classrooms.
