Non-Endowed Scholarships

A named non-endowed scholarship fund is created for immediate use and is meant to be spent down.

Key Details:

• Minimum Threshold: $10,000 annually to create a named non-endowed scholarship
• Spending: There is no limit on the amount that may be expended from a non-endowed fund
• Fund Purpose: Funds must be expended for the purposes and within the restrictions determined by the donor
• Use: Immediate use compared to endowed scholarships

Application Process

Scholarship applicants must:

1. Be currently enrolled at Valencia College
2. Be working toward a degree or technical certificate
3. Apply through the scholarship portal (Scholarship Universe)
4. Receive notification through Valencia email address if awarded
5. Submit a thank you letter to the donors (in PDF format to foundationscholarships@valenciacollege.edu)
