Nina Baldwin Fisher Foundation Grant Program

The Nina Baldwin Fisher Foundation Grant Program supports initiatives that promote justice, equity, and well-being within the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region. With no application deadlines, this program focuses on empowering individuals through social justice, aiding survivors of domestic violence, and facilitating access to green spaces and nutrition. The foundation prioritizes organizations classified as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, fostering positive change in the community.

NOTE: The Foundation has a year-round, rolling application process; there are no deadlines. The last day to submit an application to be considered for this year is November 1, 2024.

The Foundation is dedicated to bringing access and power to individuals who are working to make a positive change in their lives. Its grantmaking focuses primarily on social justice, supporting survivors of domestic violence, single mothers, conservation and access to green space, and nutrition.

Eligibility

Applicant organizations must be classified as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and as public charities under Section 509(a) of that code.The geographic focus of the Foundation’s grantmaking program is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.The Board reserves the right to approve grants in other locations at its discretion.While the Foundation entertains requests from a wide variety of organizations, most grants are initiated at the direction of the program staff and Board of Trustees of the Foundation.

Ineligibility

The Foundations do not encourage requests for:Support for conferences or trainingsEndowment contributionsDebt reductionOrganizations based outside the United StatesSupport for organizations that are not a 501(c)(3) or government agency, and therefore require a fiscal sponsorship, unless the sponsorship is a temporary situation and/or the sponsorship arrangement meets rigorous criteria for oversight and supportSupport for individualsEvent sponsorships
