We believe that inclusive, engaged communities—where people come together to address local challenges, welcome each other's differences, and collaborate—are essential to creating strong and healthy communities where everyone has access to opportunities to thrive. Next Step Scholarship The Next Step Scholarship fund was established to assist students planning to pursue a trade, vocation, or a career in a specific profession. Examples of career/vocations include (but are not limited to): dental hygenist, construction, truck driver, beautician/barber, nursing, legal secretary, culinary arts, IT. The following career paths are excluded from consideration: physician, architect, veterinarian, attorney, and CPA. The scholarship has the potential to be renewed for an additional year, reapplication is required.

Eligibility

Graduating senior from a public High School in Thurston, Mason, or Lewis Counties, or Raymond (Pacific County); cumulative GPA between 1.75 and 2.75. Student must be planning to attend a trade school, apprenticeship program, vocational school, or 2 year program at a community college. (Renewable)
