Lake Champlain Basin Program Mission The Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP) coordinates and funds efforts that benefit the Lake Champlain Basin’s water quality, fisheries, wetlands, wildlife, recreation, and cultural resources, in partnership with government agencies from New York, Vermont, and Québec, private organizations, local communities, and individuals. New York Lake Champlain Basin Wetland and Floodplain Restoration Projects The Patrick Leahy Lake Champlain Basin Program (“LCBP”), in coordination with the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (“NEIWPCC”), is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for project that will directly support the Healthy Ecosystem goals of Opportunities for Action: An Evolving Plan for the Future of the Lake Champlain Basin by restoring or improving degraded critical wetlands and floodplains situated in the New York portion of the Lake Champlain Basin. The intent of this funding opportunity is to increase the quantity and quality of wetlands and floodplains in the New York portion of the Lake Champlain basin by conserving and restoring wetland and floodplain acreage and improve the condition of these sites. Approximately $1,300,000 in funding is available to support awarded projects. Grants of up to $1,300,000 will be awarded. Multiple proposals may be submitted per eligible organization or entity. LCBP anticipates granting approximately 1 to 3 awards from this RFP.Eligibility
