New Haven Scholarship Fund Who is eligible for a scholarship? New Haven residents, with demonstrated financial need, who are graduating from a New Haven Public High School , Eli Whitney Regional Vocational Technical High School, Common Ground HS, Highville or Amistad HS and have attended since the start of senior year. What is the term of the scholarship? Each scholarship is awarded for one year - 2 semesters​ How much are the scholarships? Generally, they range between $200 and $2900 - this upper number varies, depending on the number of awardees. We're always fundraising to increase the amount of money we have available as the number of scholarships we give out continues to grow. The student : 1. must complete and submit the NHSF application;2. will then be required to participate in an interview with a member of the Board;3. if selected, must attend the NHSF Award Ceremony in June to receive your award.

The scholarship can be used for schools in or outside of Connecticut.To be eligible to receive the NHSF scholarship for College, Technical or Trade School, a student must:1. demonstrate family financial need - family income ceiling of $75,000(extenuating family situations considered)2. be a New Haven resident3. have attended a New Haven public high school, Eli Whitney, Common Ground, Highville or Amistad, since the beginning of senior year.Can I get a scholarship beyond the first year?Yes, you may apply at the end of each year for the upcoming year. Applications are due to the New Haven Scholarship Fund by June 15th.
