Overview: A year-long training program designed to support Native producers in advancing their careers in the entertainment industry.

Purpose

Creating pathways for Native writers, directors, and producers by providing resources and opportunities to succeed. The program addresses the historical exclusion of Native peoples from creative processes in the entertainment industry.

Program Details

• Program Type: Year-long fellowship and training cohort
• Cohort Size: 8 fellows selected from approximately 400 applicants
• Award Amount: $25,000 per fellow

• Monthly workshops with industry experts
• Network-building opportunities
• Mentorship from industry leaders
• Project development support

Eligibility

• Native American/Indigenous creative professionals
• Focus on producers, writers, and directors

Recent Cohort (Reference)

Eight fellows were selected including representatives from: Pueblos of Pojoaque, Cherokee, Neets'aii Gwich'in, Blackfeet, Yurok, Chickasaw, Oglala Lakota, and Kanaka Maoli nations.
