History & Mission The mission of the STEP Foundation is to enrich the quality of life in Nemaha County by encouraging philanthropy to develop a permanent endowment that will respond to changing needs and serve as a resource for the development of cultural, economic, educational, health and recreational opportunities. Nemaha County Grants We are excited to assist local non-profits to make Nemaha County a great place to live and work! Funds are being requested for: Arts and Humanities  Basic Human Needs and Disaster Relief  Beautification  Community Development and Leadership  Education, Children and Youth  Elderly  Health Care and Mental Health  Preservation and Conservation The Nemaha County STEP Foundation requires the organization to which a grant has been awarded to: Request payment once the project is completedReport in some detail how the funds are expended, including invoicesShare a brief story (with photos) showing evidence of the use and success of the projectPlace a plaque/signage recognizing STEP for its contribution to the project The Foundation intends to periodically visit, request information, or in some manner monitor the project.
