NE Chambers Association Scholarship Program

Overview: A professional development scholarship program for chamber staff members offered by the Nebraska Chambers Association as a benefit to its members.

Geographic Scope: Nebraska

Eligible Conferences/Events:

U.S. Chamber Institute for Organization Management (IOM) - 4 courses across the country (typically January, June, July): $750 year one, $500 year two, $250 years three and four

Mid-American Chamber Executives (MACE) Conference - typically May in Sioux Falls, SD: $300

NCA Annual Fall Conference: $200

Leadership Nebraska (June to February): $500

NCA Mini-Institute: No scholarship provided, but registration fee waived for first-time attendees (must request through NCA Executive Board/Chair)

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant's chamber must be a member of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry

Applicant must be a member of Nebraska Chambers Association

Applicant must be a chamber staff member

Must demonstrate commitment to the profession

One scholarship per application cycle per individual

Maximum of $2,000 in total lifetime scholarships (beginning with August 2023 application cycle)

Award Details:

Scholarships can cover tuition and travel expenses

Reimbursed to the local chamber following completion of the conference/event

Recipients must provide paid registration receipt and proof of attendance

Recipients required to make 2-3 minute verbal presentation at next NCA meeting OR provide written summary of what they learned

Cycle 1: Applications Due March 2 (Eligible activities: Annual Fall Conference, IOM Winter Institute)

Cycle 2: Applications Due September 4 (Eligible activities: MACE, IOM Summer Institutes, Leadership Nebraska)
