NCGA Foundation Junior Girls Grant Program

Overview: The NCGA Foundation Junior Girls Grant Program awards grants of up to $1,000 to support junior girls' golf programs across Northern California—helping young athletes grow, compete, and thrive.

Background: Founded in 2002 through the commitment of the Pacific Women's Golf Association and the Women's Golf Association of Northern California, the program has grown tremendously. To date, over $600,000 has been awarded in grants supporting hundreds of junior golfers and programs strengthened throughout Northern California.

Geographic Scope: Northern California

Focus Areas:

  • Closing the gap in girls golf

  • Strengthening access, instruction, and competitive opportunities for young female athletes

  • Supporting junior girls' golf programs, especially at the high school level where programs often operate with limited resources
    • Eligible Programs

    • Junior girls' golf programs throughout Northern California
    • High school and community-based programs
    • Programs seeking supplemental funding (not full program funding)
    • Applicants must disclose all additional funding sources supporting their program

      Eligible Expenses

      Grants may be used for:
    • Golf course and practice range access
    • Golf instruction (maximum $250 per grant)
    • Golf equipment (clubs and SNAG equipment)
    • Transportation to competitions
    • Team uniforms (must specify items)
    • Tournament entry fees

      Ineligible Expenses

      Grants may NOT be used for:
    • Administrative costs (printing, postage, newsletters, etc.)
    • Awards or trophies
    • Food and beverage
    • Excursions
