Geographic Scope: Washington State, with focus on Native American and tribal communities

• Violence against Native women and people
• Estate planning and probate for Indian trust property owners
• Tribal and trust income protection
• Public benefits access for Native populations

A grant program supporting legal aid organizations serving Native American, Alaska Native, and tribal communities across Washington State. The program addresses the unique legal needs of indigenous populations.

Advisory Panel: The Native American & Tribal Communities Grant has an established advisory panel of legal professionals and community leaders with expertise in Indian law and tribal communities, including:

• John A. Haupt (Chief Judge for the Makah Tribe)
• Kateri Joe (Swinomish tribe and Halalt First Nation member)
• Karyn Kameroff (enrolled Choctaw Nation citizen)
• Juliana C. Repp (Nez Perce)
• John Sledd (Indian law specialist)
• Jennifer Yogi (Senior Managing Attorney, Northwest Justice Project Native American Unit)
