Who We Are The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) is a nationwide organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., and is the largest and most loyal representative of the more than 20 million Italian American citizens living in the United States. NIAF was founded in 1975 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with no political affiliations. NIAF’s two most important purposes are to encourage Italian Americans to continue keeping their culturally rich heritage and traditions alive and present, and to ensure that the entire community never forgets the great contribution that Italians have made to the history and progress of the United States. To this end, the Foundation actively collaborates with the United States Congress and the White House on all major issues affecting Italian Americans. National Italian American Foundation Grant The National ltalian American Foundation’s mission is to promote and protect Italian American heritage. To support this overarching mission, NIAF’s goal is to play an active role in the sponsorship of ltalian and ltalian American related projects and events through the Foundation’s Grants and Sponsorship Program. Financial support ranging $2,500-$10,000 is available to non-profit organizations and educational institutions that will be executing an event or completing an educational project that directly supports and advances NIAF’s mission as a national organization.

Italian American organizations applying for funding must be a part of NIAF’s Affiliate Organization Program. Apply on behalf of a non-profit or educational organization. Submit funding requests for projects that have not previously been denied. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member.

Ineligibility

Requests from individuals or for-profit institutions will not be considered.Personal projects, education or personal development expenses, and travel expenses are not eligible for consideration.
