The Marnell Foundation Scholarship Grant

The Marnell Foundation Scholarship, offered by the National Italian American Foundation, aims to support outstanding Italian American students from Nevada. Eligible candidates must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have an active NIAF membership. This scholarship not only promotes academic excellence but also encourages the preservation of Italian culture and heritage among the community. The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) is a nationwide organization headquartered in Washington, D.C., and is the largest and most loyal representative of the more than 20 million Italian American citizens living in the United States.
NIAF’s two most important purposes are to encourage Italian Americans to continue keeping their culturally rich heritage and traditions alive and present, and to ensure that the entire community never forgets the great contribution that Italians have made to the history and progress of the United States. To this end, the Foundation actively collaborates with the United States Congress and the White House on all major issues affecting Italian Americans.
Scholarships
Thanks to the generosity of many dedicated donors, the National Italian American Foundation offers a variety of scholarships to outstanding Italian American students from a variety of academic disciplines and backgrounds.
To be awarded to an outstanding Italian American student (undergraduate or graduate) originally from the state of Nevada. This student must have a GPA of 3.5 (or the equivalent) or higher.

Eligibility

Applicants must…Have an active NIAF Membership. NIAF memberships are valid for one year from the date of registration. (Memberships are non-refundable.) Students may use their parent, guardian or grandparent’s membership.
Be enrolled in a US accredited institution of higher education on a full time basis for the Fall semesterBe a United States Citizen or permanent resident alien.Applicant must demonstrate a commitment to or interest in Italian culture and heritage.
