Music Therapy Grants

Music Movement offers grants for music therapy aimed at children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in Southern California, dedicated to providing funding for music-centric programs that benefit youth on the Autism Spectrum (ASD) and with other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Music Movement offers grants to fund music therapy for individuals living with ASD and other learning differences.
Music Movement serves the following communities:

• Children and young adults with ASD
• We provide music resources supporting communication and personal growth for individuals with autism.
• Children with learning differences and developmental/social challenges
• Our programs use music to enhance social skills and emotional expression.
• Children facing life-threatening illnesses
• We bring joyful music to children with health challenges, reducing stress and creating uplifting experiences.
• At-risk and inner-city kids
• Music Movement helps underserved youth access therapeutic opportunities in music, promoting emotional well-being and community engagement.
• Young adults transitioning to adulthood
• Our programs equip young adults with essential life skills and foster independence through engaging music-based learning.
• Music Therapy Grants
• Grant amounts are evaluated on a case by case basis and typically range from $1,500 - $2,500

Eligibility

Legal guardian/parent of individual must complete applicationOne application is required per child, even if grants are requested for multiple children within a householdGrants are available within the United States.Applicant must select a therapist or program in your local area that is qualified and accepting new clientsOnline sessions ARE acceptableTherapist is required to submit a monthly invoice along with brief progress notesRecommend frequency is one 30 minute session per weekAny changes or discontinuation of therapy must be approved by Music Movement 30 days in advanceApplications may be resubmitted for continuation or reconsideration on an annual basis

Ineligibility

International grants are NOT available at this time.Transferring grant funds to another therapist or program is NOT permitted.
