Description

The Molecular and Systems Biology Specialty Section (MSBSS) is pleased to request submissions for the MSBSS Postdoctoral Scholar Research Award. Applicants must have completed a PhD (or equivalent degree, e.g. MD or DPhil), be a postdoctoral member (accepted or pending) of SOT, and be a member of MSBSS by the time the award is presented. The research reported in the abstract must have been conducted while the author was engaged in a mentored postdoctoral research position, although the author may or may not still be in the position at time of the meeting.

Award Details

Four awards will be made: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, plus travel award, with a monetary award and a certificate/plaque at the MSBSS reception during SOT. All three research awardees will be invited to showcase their research by giving a presentation sponsored by MSBSS later in the year. The travel award winner will be provided funds to help offset the cost of attending the Annual Meeting. Receipts must be provided for all disbursement requests. Meeting attendance is required to receive this travel award.
