Society of Toxicology (SOT) Mission & Principles Founded in 1961, the Society of Toxicology (SOT) is a professional and scholarly organization of scientists from academic institutions, government, and industry representing the great variety of scientists who practice toxicology in the US and abroad. The Society’s mission is to create a safer and healthier world by advancing the science and increasing the impact of toxicology. MRC/SOT Young Investigator Award Description: This award is presented at the MRC/SOT Spring meeting to the applicant who submits the best undergraduate or graduate research proposal. The undergraduate/graduate student must submit a research proposal for the upcoming year, along with one letter of reference (from advisor). Winners will present their research at the following Annual Meeting of MRC/SOT and will receive funds to be used for continuing education in toxicology (e.g., travel to national or regional meeting and/or purchase of textbook(s), participation in workshops and/or research.) Winner receives funding to be applied towards their proposed research project.Eligibility
