Overview: Dedicated to empowering the next generation of aviation and aerospace professionals.

Focus Areas:

Aviation careers (pilots, flight crew, aircraft maintenance, air traffic control, aviation management)

Aerospace careers (aerospace engineering, aerodynamics, propulsion systems, systems engineering)

Space careers (astronomy, astrophysics, space engineering, mission operations, planetary science)

Geographic Scope: El Paso County or Doña Ana County residents only

Target Audience: High school graduating seniors

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a 2-year or 4-year degree program in aviation, aerospace, or space-related fields

Must be a resident of El Paso County or Doña Ana County

Award Details:

Amount: Up to four $2,500 Aviator Awards

Duration: One academic year

Use of Funds: Tuition, fees, books, supplies, or other education-related expenses. Funds paid directly to the higher education institution.

Selection Criteria:

Academic achievement and performance

Personal statement and career goals demonstration of passion

Quality and relevance of letters of recommendation

Community involvement and extracurricular activities (preference given)

Recipient Obligations: Recipients are encouraged to participate in MSSG Amigo Airsho events or related activities as a way of giving back to the community
