Morrison County Area Foundation Grant

The Morrison County Area Foundation Grant, supported by the Initiative Foundation, aims to enhance the quality of life for Morrison County residents. It prioritizes funding for education, health initiatives, and community development programs that foster inclusivity. Grants can go up to $2,000, covering 50% of project costs. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, schools, local governments, and community groups that directly benefit the community, while avoiding support for individual or business grants.

Background
The Morrison County Area Foundation is a partner fund of the Initiative Foundation, established to serve as a charitable vehicle to raise and distribute financial resources which benefit nonprofits, schools and local units of government in Morrison County.
Funding Priorities
The Morrison County Area Foundation will accept and consider funding proposals that fit within our mission to improve the quality of life for residents of Morrison County. The following categories will receive priority funding:
Education, especially in the development of informed and engaged citizens.Health, including both mental and physical health needs.Developing Welcoming Communities, especially through programs that emphasize community connectedness, improve community appearance, and/or support equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Funding Amount
The MCAF Advisory Board will periodically review the minimum and maximum grant size. Our current maximum grant size is $2,000, not to exceed 50% of total project costs.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are those that serve the residents of Morrison County and include:501(c)(3) nonprofit organizationsSchool districtsLocal units of governmentCommunity groups operating through a mission-related fiscal host with the appropriate tax-exempt status

Ineligibility

The Morrison County Area Foundation will not provide grants to/for the following:Grants, loans or reimbursements to individuals or businesses.Expenses incurred prior to receipt of this grant award.Any programs or projects that DO NOT directly benefit residents of Morrison County.Religious activities.Lobbying or campaigning for a candidate, issue or referendum vote.
