Morgan Foundation: Grant Requests Over $20,000

The Burton D. Morgan Foundation provides grants over $20,000 to support entrepreneurship education across Northeast Ohio. Focused on K-12 students, collegiate initiatives, and adult entrepreneurs, the Foundation emphasizes building skills and providing resources for business success. Committed to community needs in Hudson, Ohio, it fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion in its grantmaking activities. Applications are accepted from approved 501(c)(3) organizations, with a preference for projects that align with the Foundation's mission.

Entrepreneurship: Youth - Collegiate - Adult
Burton D. Morgan Foundation believes in the free enterprise system and the power of entrepreneurship to transform lives. The Foundation champions the entrepreneurial spirit through grantmaking focused on:
building entrepreneurial skills and mindset in K-12 students; guiding college students in gaining startup know-how through curricular and experiential opportunities; and providing targeted resources to help adult entrepreneurs start and scale ventures via access to mentorship, training, and capital.

As a reflection of the Morgan family’s dedication to their community, Burton D. Morgan Foundation provides grants to organizations that serve charitable needs in Hudson, Ohio.
Youth Entrepreneurship
Investing in entrepreneurship education programs for elementary, middle, and high school students throughout Northeast Ohio.
Collegiate Entrepreneurship
Driving collegiate entrepreneurship initiatives, including NEOLaunchNET, business competitions, and internship programs.
Adult Entrepreneurship
Strengthening Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurship networks to support all stages of business growth and foster a robust entrepreneurial culture.
Entrepreneurship-Focused Requests Greater than $20,000
The Trustees of Burton D. Morgan Foundation typically meet three times each year to consider requests.
Hudson-Focused Requests (Any Size)
Applications for Hudson projects must be submitted prior to the two later annual deadlines - May and September.

Eligibility

Grants are made to organizations classified as public charities and tax exempt under 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
The Foundation’s primary geographic focus for mission-related grant funding is Northeast Ohio.Projects with a national impact are occasionally considered.

Ineligibility

For-profit companies and startups are not eligible to apply for funding directly from the Foundation.
Burton D. Morgan Foundation does not make grants to individuals.
