Moreau Honors Leadership Grants

Overview: All Honors Scholars in the Moreau Honors Program have the opportunity to apply for Moreau Honors Leadership Grants, awarded to support student leadership, research and conference presentations.

Eligibility:

  • Must be enrolled in the Moreau Honors Program

  • Must be a Moreau Honors Scholar

    • Focus Areas: Grants support:

  • Student leadership initiatives

  • Research projects

  • Conference attendance and presentations

    • Recent Award Examples:

  • Funding to attend the 2015 Social Justice Conference in Chicago, Illinois

  • Funding for travel to Sardinia, Italy, to help a farmer develop his "agriturismo" through the group Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms

  • Funding for field equipment for a thesis project titled "Comparative foraging behavior of two generalist tyrant flycatcher (Tyrannidae) species in Belize"

  • Funding to help defray costs for the Medical School Application Preparation EXtreme (APEX) program at the University of South Carolina

  • Funding for travel to present at the Humanities Education and Research Association in Washington, DC
