Our Mission Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the Monett area through resource development, community grantmaking, collaboration and public leadership. Since our founding on Sept. 3, 1998, Monett Area Community Foundation has distributed more than $3.9 million back to the community. We now hold assets totaling $6,734,384 as of June 30, 2023. Phil & Friends Monett Grantmaking Program FY25 Accepting Submissions from 06/12/2025 to 07/28/2025 The Monett Area Community Foundation works to improve the quality of life for individuals in the Monett area through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. The unique role of a community foundation is to conduct a flexible community grantmaking program which addresses the most important needs of the community at any one time. The flexibility this requires is made possible by charitable donors who established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds and place the decision-making in the hands of the community leaders serving on our Board of Directors as well as dollars raised by the Monett Area Community Foundation. Grant funding and decisions for this program are made by the Monett Phil and Friends of the Monett Area Community Foundation. In awarding grants, affiliates of the CFO will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status.
