Overview

MN AWWA Community College Scholarship The Minnesota Section of the American Water Works Association (MN AWWA) awards up to two $2,000 scholarships per year to individuals enrolled in Technical or Community College degree programs that benefit and support the water industry (water operations, science, engineering, etc). General Information: Acceptance of the scholarship does not obligate the awardee to enter a water-related field as a career. However, the awardee is expected to pursue his/her chosen course of study through the award year.The student must submit evidence of attendance from the College or University (copy of upcoming fall semester fee statement). The scholarship will be awarded directly to the College or University.Winners of scholarships will be presented at the MN AWWA Annual Conference, which is normally held in September in Duluth, MN. Scholarship winners are encouraged to attend the Annual Conference.

Eligibility

Basis of Award:Student must have completed at least one semester of a water-related technical program at an accredited institution during the scholarship year;Student must submit all information requested on the Minnesota AWWA scholarship application form; andStudent must submit a current transcript from the college(s) of attendance. You must be a member of this organization to apply for this award - become a member. Scholarship preference: Applicants who are currently members of MN AWWA, or applicants who work for a utility member of MN AWWA;

Ineligibility

No student shall receive more than two scholarships from the Section within a ten-year period.If no students meet the criteria, no awards shall be given.
